Jacob Murad
Jacob Murad is the president of KPA Lawyers, a full-service law firm in Mississauga, Ontario, as well as the managing partner and general counsel to BlueStar Equity, a private equity family office in Toronto. He has served as general counsel and director for a large number of private companies throughout Canada and was responsible for the negotiation of over 30 complex mergers and acquisitions transactions in excess of $150M in value, restructuring transactions, and all other aspects of corporate law.
He graduated top of his class from Western Michigan Law School, and received his Masters of Laws from UofT. Jacob is a member of the Law Society of Ontario’s Coach and Mentor Roster.
Rahin Talukder
Rahin Talukder provides expert legal advice on estate planning and corporate/commercial matters. With experience representing both individuals and businesses across various sectors, Rahin has developed a broad and versatile legal practice. Before his call to the bar, he gained valuable training at a commercial real estate boutique and a well-established law office in Toronto.
Rahin obtained his Juris Doctor from Western Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, attending live performances, and exploring diverse cuisines from around the world.
Daanish Shah
Daanish Shah is a litigation lawyer with a broad practice that includes civil and commercial disputes. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate legal challenges with clarity, compassion, and strategic focus. Whether appearing in court or working behind the scenes to resolve disputes efficiently, Daanish takes pride in being a steady and responsive advocate for his clients.
Daanish holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, where he double-majored in Economics and Political Science with a focus on economic policy in developing countries. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Windsor, where he was actively involved in both legal advocacy and student leadership. As a caseworker at Community Legal Aid, he represented low-income clients facing urgent legal issues in housing, employment, and social benefits which allowed him to develop a strong foundation in advocacy and client service. He also served as President of the International Law Society, reflecting his deep interest in global legal systems and cross-border perspectives.
Outside of his legal practice, Daanish enjoys exploring hiking trails across the GTA, running marathons, travelling, and spending quality time with his family.
Karen Sahota
P.E. Gail Mumford
Gail Mumford is a highly regarded legal practitioner who has served the Collingwood community since her call to the bar in 1989. As a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Simcoe County Law Association, Gail brings extensive experience and expertise to her practice.
Graduating from Queen’s University in 1984 and the University of Victoria law school in 1987, Gail has deep roots in the legal profession. Her career began in Collingwood, where she has remained dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients for over three decades.
Born in England and immigrating to Canada in 1963, Gail became a citizen in 1972, bringing with her a multicultural perspective. Fluent in English, French, and conversational German, she offers comprehensive legal services to a diverse clientele.
With over 25 years of specialization in areas such as family, estates, real estate, criminal, and corporate law, Gail founded Mumford Law Office in Collingwood. Through personalized and attentive service, she ensures that each client receives the individualized attention they deserve.
A long-time resident of Collingwood, Gail possesses a deep understanding of local courts and municipal authorities, allowing her to navigate various jurisdictions with ease.

Mariyah Jawaid
Mariyah Jawaid holds a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. With several years of hands-on experience in drafting Wills and managing estate matters, Mariyah has developed a deep understanding of estate planning and legal documentation. Her work is grounded in precision, empathy, and a commitment to helping individuals and families navigate important life decisions with clarity and confidence.
In addition to her work in estates, Mariyah also possesses solid knowledge in real estate law, allowing her to provide well-rounded legal insights across related areas.

Maria MacEachern
Maria MacEachern is a seasoned paralegal with over 14 years of dedicated service in the legal field. Graduating from UCV University Central of Venezuela with a Law Degree in 2007, Maria also pursued studies in Business at the same institution in 2006-2007. To further hone her expertise, she completed a Paralegal program at Herzing College in 2009, solidifying her foundation in legal practice.
Maria's commitment to excellence is demonstrated by her continual pursuit of knowledge and professional development. In 2017, she obtained certification in the Licensed Corporate Registries System (CORES), showcasing her dedication to staying updated with industry standards and regulations.

Anna Zammit
Anna is a Real Estate Law Clerk with the firm, maintaining a broad understanding of all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, mortgage financing (private and institutional) transactions together with land or life lease transactions.
She graduated with honours from the Law Clerk Program at Humber College North Campus in Toronto, Ontario in 2006. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, she worked for a sole proprietor law firm in downtown Toronto.
Anna was born and raised in Toronto and moved to Wasaga Beach in 2013 with her family. In her spare time, Anna enjoys gardening, classic cars shows and being outdoors with her husband, daughter, son and little dog.
Tracy Lougheed
Tracy is a Senior Real Estate Law Clerk with at Shaw McLellan. She has in excess of 30 years of law office experience and specializes in real estate. Tracy was raised in Bramalea and moved to Simcoe County, attending Georgian College in Barrie. She graduated in 1991 from the Legal Administration program with Honours.
Tracy loves to travel. During the summer months she spends her time camping, fishing, golfing and ATVing. She is also an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan.
