Emilie Aloe is a dynamic legal professional with a multifaceted background, blending her passion for law with a commitment to community service and personal interests. She currently leads the KPA Lawyers office in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Having embarked on her legal journey, Emilie started as a law clerk at KPA, where she swiftly progressed to an articling student role, joining the team in April 2021. Her journey to the legal profession culminated with the completion of her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Ottawa in 2021, building upon her earlier academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Arts with a major in law and justice and a minor in political science in 2018.

Emilie's dedication to serving her community is evident through her impactful work at the Algoma Community Legal Clinic. As a community legal worker, she provided invaluable assistance to low-income residents, particularly in navigating housing issues and accessing essential social benefits such as OW and ODSP. Her representation of clients before bodies such as the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal underscores her commitment to advocating for those in need.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Emilie remains actively engaged in various associations and volunteer initiatives. She contributed her time and expertise to Pro Bono Students Canada during her tenure in law school, serving as a research assistant and policy developer. Currently, she is a proud member of the Algoma District Law Association and actively participates in fundraising efforts for Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, Emilie has dedicated her time to mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters, further exemplifying her commitment to giving back to her community.

Outside of her legal pursuits, Emilie embraces a vibrant array of hobbies and interests. From traveling and boating to crafting cocktails and attending live music events, she finds joy in exploring new experiences. Her love for nature is evident through her enjoyment of hiking with her dogs, while her appreciation for laughter and entertainment shines through her enthusiasm for attending stand-up comedy shows.
