Eva Janta

Eva Janta earned two law degrees from law schools in both Canada and the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law (Michigan) and Windsor Law School (Ontario). Eva was Called to the Bar in Ontario in 2016 and she practices in family law and criminal defence at KPA Lawyers. Eva has represented clients in Superior Court trials, Ontario Court trials, guilty pleas at both levels, bail hearings, and at the Court of Appeal. Eva is proud to sit as Co-Chair for the Peel Region for Women In Canadian Criminal Defence (WICCD)

Family Law

Eva’s family law practices includes divorce, separation, child custody and support, spousal support, division of net family property, disputes regarding matrimonial homes, etc.

Criminal Defence

She has defended clients with matters that range from simple matters, like thefts under $5000, to more serious matters, aggravated assault, and importation of controlled substances.

Fertility Law

As a fertility lawyer, Eva can provide intended parents, donors, and surrogates with independent legal advice and assistance with negotiation regarding egg, sperm, and embryo donor agreements and surrogacy agreements. She can assist clients who are participating in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) with navigating the Assisted Human Reproduction Act and the All Families Are Equal Act.
