Kim Wong, Family Lawyer
Kim is a family lawyer who cares deeply about people.
Kim’s practice is client-centered and child-focused. He understands the emotional and financial costs of litigation, and uses his skills in negotiation, mediation, and collaborative practice to resolve most of his cases outside of court.
Kim is also a competent litigator and has handled complex cases such as a multi-jurisdictional divorce involving $20M of assets worldwide and other high conflict parenting disputes.
Before becoming a lawyer in Canada, Kim endured a 4-year battle with cancer and then overcame various challenges while immigrating from Hong Kong. These experiences grew him as a professional, and he now brings valuable experience in handling adversity and walking with people through tough times.
Kim believes in giving back to and engaging in community. He is a panel lawyer for the legal clinic of Chinese Christian Mission of Canada, a volunteer lawyer for Living Water Counselling Center, and a mentor for various youth groups. He is also a member of leading organizations dedicated to improving the family law profession, including the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario.
